Aiken Regional Medical Centers to Host First Lecture Series in Edgefield

EDGEFIELD – Aiken Regional Medical Centers strives to educate Aiken and the surrounding communities on health issues that we face everyday.  Aiken Regional Medical Centers will host its first lecture series in Edgefield on Thursday, March 18 at 5:30pm.  “Heart Disease in a Nutshell” will be presented by Dr. Gregory Eaves, Interventional Cardiologist, and held at the First Baptist Church in Edgefield. 

Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men and women in the United States-includes coronary and congenital diseases, heart attack and congestive heart failure.  Dr. Eaves will discuss potential causes, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment.  Free blood pressure and blood sugar screenings will begin at 5:30pm and complimentary dinner and seminar at 6pm.

In an attempt to better serve the Aiken-Edgefield area Aiken Regional Medical Centers and Edgefield County Hospital partner together utilizing each facilities resources.
