Paws In The Park this Saturday

web posted April 23, 2009
EDGEFIELD – All God’s Creatures is proud to present our 6th annual “Paws in the Park” this Saturday morning, April 25th rain or shine. The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. and please note the CHANGE of location. It will be held in the town of Edgefield, SC at historic Oakley Park, Columbia Road.

There is a $5.00 registration fee per pet.  The program is for pets, neighbors, friends and all pet lovers.  Those who attend are asked to bring leashes or carriers for their pets and a folding chair to sit in.  Pets must be current on all vaccinations.

All God’s Creatures is a local, non-profit pet rescue and adoption organization here in Edgefield County.

There will be Mother’s Day & Father’s Day Raffle baskets, contest prizes and door prizes, t-shirts, and bandanas.  Lunch and cold drinks will be available.

Attractions this year will feature The Edgefield County Canine Unit, pictures with your pets, a pet obedience demonstration and a wide array of home baked goodies for sale (for humans!)  Of course, pet treats will also be served!

Participants can try their luck in some of the many contests this year.  They include “Best Tail Wagger, Best Pooch Smooch, Most Unusual Trick and Musical Chairs with Pets.”

Everyone is then invited to participate in “The Main Street Dog Walk”.  “Paws” continues to become more popular each year, so please plan on joining us for a relaxing day of fun with your animals!

Proceeds will go to benefit All God’s Creatures.  All tax-deductible contributions may be made to AGC, PO Box 23, Johnston, SC 29832 or visit  www.agcpetrescue.org.
