"Day & Night at the Museums" set for Friday web posted May 9, 2007 EDGEFIELD – In honor of International Museum Week the National Wild Turkey Federation will be a part of the three museum tour on Friday, May 11th. The three Edgefield museums involved will be the NWTF's Museum, the Region 2 Discovery Center, and Oakley Park. The event is titled "Day & Night at the Museums" and will begin at the Discovery Center at 2pm. The Discovery Center will host a reception and a scavenger hunt until 3:30pm. Then from 4-5pm, Oakley Park will open the house for exploration. They will also offer a soup and sandwich dinner for $5/person at 5pm. Finally, the last stop will be at the NWTF's Museum from 6-8pm. Where visitors will be able to view a movie (rated PG) and then be taken on a special flashlight guided tour of the museum. To further celebrate International Museum Week, the Winchester Museum at the Turkey Federation will stay open late until 7pm from Tuesday, May 15th until Thursday, May 17th.
