  Edgefield Library announces Summer Reading Events web posted May 16, 2008 EDGEFIELD – The Edgefield County Library in Edgefield is gearing up for the summer with several activities for children of all ages. From reading programs, magic, puppets, and even a guest appearance from Scooby Doo all programs are scheduled and registration for participation in summer reading begins on Tuesday, May 27th Natalie Pulley said. Summer Reading Events 2008 (grades 0-5) at the Edgefield County Public Library Tuesday, June 10th @ 10:30AM: Ruth Patrick Science Center-Learn about reptiles! Tuesday, June 17th @ 10:30AM: Magician Chad Crews-"The Catch the Reading Bug Safari Show" Tuesday, June 24th @ 10:30AM: Bugfest! Puppet Show Tuesday, July 8th @ 10:30AM: Scooby Doo guest appearance Tuesday, July 15th @ 10:30AM: Porkchop Productions- "The Ugly Duckling" Tuesday, July 22nd @ 10:30AM: Mountain Marionettes- "At the Hop" puppet show Summer Reading Events 2008 (grades 6-12) at the Edgefield County Public Library Thursday, June 12th @ 2pm: Annual Food Fear Factor Thursday, June 3rd @ 4pm: Butterfly Release Thursday, August 14th @ 6PM: Gaming Tournament (Dance Revolution or Rock Band?)/Pizza Party *Please call 803-637-4025 or visit the service desk at the Edgefield County Public Library for details/registration requirements for events grades 6-12. ©
