 Davis takes "Food Fear Factor" championship web posted June 8, 2007 Below: Kelvin Davis  EDGEFIELD – The
Edgefield County Library
held their 2007 Food Fear Factor Thursday afternoon with at least a
dozen exotic foods awaiting local teens that entered the contest.
Natalie Pulley, Edgefield Library Director, and Janet Burgess oversaw
the competition as the teens took turns picking bags with the names of
foreign countries on them to discover the food they would be sampling. Early in the competition all contestants made it through eating cow intestines, octopus, pickled pigs feet, and anchovies. Kaheem Isaac, of Florida, was one of the first to begin having problems when the fish began being offered, “I don’t eat fish,” he said but managed to get through two different early offerings. Several other local teens attended the competition and enjoyed watching the contestants forge ahead. One by one the contestant fell out of the competition and with one bag of food left, and the “tie breaker” food, Kevin Davis, of Edgefield, was crowned the Food Fear Factor Champion of 2007. The winning food consumed was Caviar.  The contestants were
