 Truck driver gets "Here's your Card" web posted June 16, 2006 EDGEFIELD – An Edgefield man was uninjured in a collision with a tractor-trailer truck on Highway 23 just outside of Edgefield Thursday morning. The tractor-trailer was traveling west on Highway 23 and missed his turn on Star Road. The driver stopped near the bypass and the Edgefield man following him in a Dodge Intrepid also stopped. Suddenly the truck began backing up. Before the driver of the Intrepid could get out of the way the truck backed over the car, dragging it about twenty yards before stopping. The Edgefield man was able to jump out of his car before the truck stopped backing onto the car. The Intrepid was heavily damaged and the truck received minor damage. The truck driver first told police he thought the driver of the Intrepid was following too close. The South Carolina Highway Patrol arrived on the scene a short time later and began the investigation. For
