 Truck blocks traffic on Highway 25 Bypass for over two hours web posted June 21, 2007  EDGEFIELD – A
tractor-trailer truck that
missed the exit from Highway 25 to the Bypass ended up blocking traffic
for over two hours when the rear wheels of the trailer went into a
ditch at Gary Road as the driver tried to re-enter the bypass. All
southbound traffic was diverted to Sweetwater Road and northbound
traffic was diverted to Gary Hill Road.The load of paper in the trailer shifted leaving the wheels of the rig off the ground nearly two feet. A specialized wreck was called to the scene and was able to pull the trailer up and out of the ditch. During the time of the detour a second tractor-trailer was involved in a slight crash on Sweetwater Road when the driver missed the detour road and struck a car heading south on Sweetwater Road as he tried to back the rig up in order to make the turn. Deputies also responded to another collision on Delaughter Drive and Dock Drive around 5:15pm that involved a car and a motorcycle. There were no reported injuries. For
