Woman arrested after driving into man's house web posted June 26, 2007 EDGEFIELD – An Aiken County woman is being held at the Edgefield County Detention Center on $3,500 bond from a domestic situation gone bad on Sunday morning. Shirley Joanne Cannon, 25, of Old Bell Road, Aiken was arrested after an altercation with the father of her child and driving her car into his house on Outz Road. According to incident reports Ms. Cannon dropped the child off at the father’s home and became irate, reportedly throwing a lamp and turning other items in the house upside down. When she left the home she is accused of getting into her 1998 Ford Contour and drove it underneath the man’s house and striking the man in the leg. Witnesses told deputies Cannon the got out of her car and picked up a “pool ladder” and struck another woman’s car and began “ripping things out” another witness told police. Cannon was arrested on the scene and transported to the Edgefield County Detention Center where she remained on a total of $3,500 bond. She has been charged with one count of criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature. It is unknown if additional charges will be filed in the case. For
