EDGEFIELD – The Edgefield Clemson
Extension Office is pleased to announce this year’s summer camp as 4-H
Camp Fire. 4-H Camp Fire is a chance for youth to spend two days
learning the role of fire in a forest ecosystem and its effects on
wildlife. Youth will participate in hands-on activities that teach them
the importance of fire. Camp will be centered on forestry, wildlife,
and 4-H Shooting Sports activities.
If this sounds like something your child will be interested in, camp
will be held Thursday, July 29th through Friday, July 30th from 9 am
until 3:30 pm at the National Wild Turkey Federation’s outdoor
pavilion.
4-H Camp Fire is open to all youth from ages 10 and up, registration is
$30/person (includes lunch and all supplies). The Clemson University
Cooperative Extension Service offers its programs to people of all
ages, regardless of race, color, gender, religion, national origin,
disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, martial or family
status and is an equal opportunity employer. Camp is limited to the
first 12 youth that register.
For more information, contact Stephen Pohlman, Edgefield County
Extension Agent, at 803-637-3161 ext. 117 or spohlma@clemson.edu.
