Pit bulls reported responsible in another animal attack
web
posted July 16, 2008
EDGEFIELD – A Turkey Creek Road woman
called the Sheriff’s Office to report her two dogs kept in a kennel
being attacked by two pit bulls, injuring both dogs Monday afternoon.
The dogs, two Labradors, were found still inside the kennel but
wounded. It turns out this is not the first time the two pit bulls have
attacked her dogs.
The woman told the deputy, reports stated, that the two pit bulls
attempted to get in the kennel to attack her dogs and injuries to her
dogs noses were evident although not serious. The woman said the pit
bulls belong to a neighbor and they have attacked her dogs at least
once before and the owner paid for the vet bills as a result.
The owner of the pit bulls was unable to be reached by the deputy and
may “be on vacation”. The pit bulls were also unable to be located.
The woman asked what she could do to protect her dogs from the repeat
attacks and was advised that she could take “appropriate actions” to
protect her dogs and property.
The case has been turned over to Animal Control for further
investigation.
