  Edgefield man injured in motorcycle crash web posted August 11, 2008  EDGEFIELD – An
Edgefield man was taken to
MCG after a crash on a motorcycle around 2:30 pm Sunday. The man was
traveling down Moragne Street near Rosa Hill Street towards town when
he lost control of the motorcycle and slammed into a power pole,
causing the pole to crack.Edgefield Police and Edgefield County EMS arrived on the scene within minutes and the man was immobilized and transported to the MCG Trauma Unit with non-life threatening injuries. SCE&G power crews arrived later and began working to repair the damaged power pole. There was no word on the condition of the injured man in the crash later in the evening. Sheriff's Deputies and the SC Highway Patrol worked another crash Sunday afternoon around 4:30 on Airport Road. There were no injuries reported in that crash.
