I want my #@%$ supper

Edgefielddaily.com
web posted August 23, 2005

EDGEFIELD - Ordinarily your garden variety disorderly conduct arrest is not worthy of mention. Then again, add too much alcohol and not enough food, and we have a winner.

Edgefield Police were called to a Nicholson Street address by a woman who was complaining her husband was drunk and was cursing. You just know this is going to turn out well.

The Edgefield Police Officer arrived and talked to the woman who said her husband was drunk and was cursing about wanting his #@$% supper. The husband, of course, said he was not drunk. The wife was adamant the husband was not staying in the house. No problem said the man; he had a place to stay at a friend’s house on Gary Street.

So, trying to be nice, the Edgefield Police Department “escorted” the man to the other residence. A job well done, diffuse a bad situation and not have to take anyone to jail.

Well, no good deed goes unpunished, and some men just want their #@$% supper when they want their #@$% supper. Not to be denied his supper from the wife, the husband returned to the home some twenty minutes later and began kicking the door demanding his #@$% supper and to be let in the #@$% house because he was #@$% hungry.

Well, mamma was going to have none of that, and he was not going to get his #@$% supper from her. The police were called again.

Now Edgefield is a small town and as such you can pretty well say it is a safe bet that if you go back to the same place, to do the same thing that got the police called on you in the first place; it is going to be the same officer responding. So, our local good-guy returned but the man had left.

Now, where do you think you would find a drunk man wanting his #@$% supper, to be let in his #@$% house, because he was #@$% hungry?

Why, none other than on Beaver Dam Road.

His next “escort” was to jail. He never got his #@$% supper.
