Edgefield Police Credit Edgefield Daily with Finding Crime Victim
web posted September 15, 2012
 EDGEFIELD – Edgefield Police notified
Edgefield Daily Friday morning that the owner of a stolen titanium
wedding band called to claim the ring after reading a recent report of
an investigation that started in Edgefield and has spread to cover
three counties. The owner met with Edgefield Police Friday to
officially claim the ring and provided an incident report filed when it
was stolen from their Graniteville home.
Latasha Lynn McClain, 30, and Nicholas Avery Meyers, 31, were arrested
after shoplifting at the Aiken Wal-Mart on Sunday, August 31, and have
remained behind bars since. Charges continue to mount on the couple who
had broken into an Edgefield home that was up for sale and moved in.
Edgefield Police says the identification of the owner of the ring will
add another charge by the Aiken County Sheriff's Office against the
couple who is facing charges in Edgefield, Aiken County, and Richmond
County in Georgia.
"Running the information on Edgefield Daily really paid off,"
Investigator Mark Pica said.
