 Grocery clerk accused of taking over $3,000 in false Wic voucher scam web posted September 20, 2006 EDGEFIELD – A clerk at an Edgefield grocery store has been arrested for breach of trust with fraudulent intent by allegedly taking over $3,000 from the business and inserting false WIC voucher numbers to replace the cash she was taking. Edgefield County Sheriff’s Investigators were alerted to the incident by store managers who provided receipts and video surveillance tapes showing the employee making the transfers. 18 year-old Santana Butler, of Peachtree Street, Edgefield, was booked into the Edgefield County Detentions Center for the thefts on Monday. Ms. Butler has been released on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond according to Jailers. The grocery store provided investigators with evidence they claim shows $3,022.48 worth of fraudulent vouchers. A court date for Ms. Butler was not available at this writing. For
