Bloody Revenge of Hanibal Hyatt comes to Edgefield on Halloween

web posted October 6, 2009
EDGEFIELD – The Employee Club of the Federal Correction Institution in Edgefield is sponsoring a haunted house and hayride this year on October 23, 24, 30, and 31. Adam Martin, of the FCI, said, “Our organization has recognized the need for a haunted house in the local community,” and “we feel we need to do something locally” as other areas in the CSRA sponsor similar events.

Mr. Martin said it would be a great attraction and would help to “keep the kids off the roads”. The group has reached out to the Strom Thurmond High School Drama team and Art department for their help for actors and backdrops and is currently seeking the help from the local community.

“We hope to make this an annual event,” Mr. Martin said.

The Haunted House will on the last two weekends of the month from the hours of 8 pm until 11 pm at a cost of $5 per ticket. The tour and haunted house will begin at the parking lot of Piedmont Tech, circle around the area, and then end at the town warehouse on Nicholson Street where the actual haunted house will be located.

Mr. Martin said the employee group seeks to help and sponsor other activities in the local community.
