  Burglars Strike within 30 Minute Window web posted October 10, 2012 EDGEFIELD – An Edgefield woman called the Sheriff's Office to report making a short trip to town only to arrive at their Meeting Street home to find the back door kicked in and their house burglarized Monday morning. The woman said she left the home around 11:15 am and returned at 11:45 am to discover the theft. Deputies arrived and cleared the home finding no one inside. After the owner entered the home it was reported that a 32" Samsung flat screen television, various gold jewelry and two pistols were missing. The two guns, located in two different rooms, were a .22 caliber Harrington revolver in a brown case with the initials TAK inscribed and a .32 caliber Taurus revolver in a black holster. Serial numbers on the stolen items were not immediately available, according to the report.
