  Columbia Road Home Robbed of over $20,000 in Jewelry and Electronics web posted October 10, 2012 EDGEFIELD – An Edgefield woman arrived home from work Monday afternoon to find her back door kicked in and called the Sheriff's Office. Deputies arrived minutes later and cleared the home and found no one inside. After the owner entered the home was the totality of the burglary realized. In addition to stealing a 36" Vizio flat screen TV, a Kindle handheld reader, and an iPod several jewelry boxes containing a minimum of $20,000 in assorted gold and silver jewelry were gone. An incident report did not list specific pieces of jewelry or serial numbers for the electronics. The Sheriff's Crime Scene Investigator arrived and processed the home for evidence.
