When deputies went to the home they discovered the missing puppy, and also found over two dozen marijuana plants being cultivated in the man’s back yard. Alton Jackson Parker, 47, was charged with manufacture of Schedule l, ll, lll drugs and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute. On Thursday Mr. Parker plead guilty to lowered charges and was sentenced to one year in prison to be followed by five years of probation. Mr. Parker also had assault and battery charges resulting from a recent ongoing problem with another neighbor. Those charges were dismissed. Mr. Parker’s wife, Sabrina Maria Parker, 33, was arrested for a burglary of a neighbor’s house in July of 2005. She was sentenced to three years in prison in October of 2005 for the crime. The Department of Social Services has entered the case as the couple has a Middle School aged son. For
