Edgefield Teen Facing Multiple Felony Charges for Burglary

web posted October 13, 2012

EDGEFIELD – Edgefield Police have arrested an Edgefield teen again on charges of burglary and larceny solving a number of cases recently. Shamall Mendaz Dugar, 17, was already out on a Personal Recognizance bond (no cash bond posted) from a burglary in December of last year at the time of his arrest. He is now being held on a total of $14,260 in Surety bonds.

The charges filed against Dugar include two counts of burglary in the third degree and two counts of larceny involving four different cases over a number of months, including a burglary at a Rosa Springs home in late September.

Dugar was taken into custody during a warrant sweep in Edgefield Thursday night where at least four others were taken into custody, some connected to crimes involving Dugar.

We will have more on those arrests as more information can be confirmed.

Two requests for a booking photo from the Edgefield County Detention Center were not honored by press time at 1 am.
