 Elderly Edgefield woman reports burglary web posted October 19, 2006 EDGEFIELD – An Elderly Edgefield woman called Edgefield Police to report a burglary at her Morange Street home. She stated to police that someone had stolen about $700 in cash, which she kept hidden in the house. The woman stated to police there had been two women in the home that day. The second woman was in her home and she did not know it at the time. The woman claimed she was in the back of the house doing laundry when the woman approached her and began talking. The two women spoke for a few minutes and then the visitor left. A little later the woman claims she discovered the missing money, police reports show. The elderly woman said both visitors knew where the money was hidden in the home and the earlier visitor had come to home to get some money from her. The case remains active. For
