web posted October 19, 2007 EDGEFIELD – Edgefield Police were dealing with a hostage situation, of sorts, late Wednesday night. Around 11 pm an Edgefield Police Officer was notified that E911 had received a call from a Gray Street woman that needed to speak with an officer. When the officer called he was informed that the woman believed her cat was being held “hostage” by a neighbor. The woman told the officer she did not want him to go to the suspected home to retrieve the captive cat and that she would contact officers on Thursday morning. The cat was described as a female Manx cat with a “bob-tail” and grey in color. The woman said she has been told the juvenile suspect has been in possession of other cats in the area that have gone missing. For all
