![]() Truck theft and attempted theft possibly connected web posted October 24, 2006 EDGEFIELD – An Edgefield man reported his pick-up truck stolen after returning from the Heritage Jubilee on Friday night. When a Sheriff’s Deputy arrived at the home on the 900 block of Augusta Road the man said he left his house around 5 pm to go to the festival. When he returned a little after midnight he noticed the truck missing. The truck is a white 1982 Chevrolet four-wheel drive single cab truck. The man told police the truck has rust on it in addition to a broken passenger side mirror and a cracked mirror. The driver’s window and the back window are tinted police reports indicate. There were no suspects listed. The truck was listed at a value of $3,000. A second vehicle also on the 900 block of Augusta Road was broken into during the same time period. In that case the window of 1988 Dodge pick-up was broken out and wires were pulled from the steering column. Police reports indicate this was done in an effort to steal the truck. The report listed $650 in damages to the truck. For
