Lynn Rearden is Liz Claiborne’s Most Admired Woman

web posted November 22, 2006

EDGEFIELD – EdgefieldDaily.com reported earlier this month about Connie Stillinger nominating Edgefield native Lynn Rearden for the Liz Claiborne’s Most Admired Woman Contest. Both Stillinger and Rearden were overjoyed that the nomination made the top five nationally.  Thinking little about the entry form Ms. Stillinger entered a short paragraph about Edgefield native Lynn Rearden. “I filled it out and figured that would be the end of it,” Ms. Stillinger said in an earlier interview. Readers were asked to go to the web site to vote for one of the top five entries. The winner of the contest was announced Tuesday and Lynn Rearden has added another award for her tireless efforts helping others.

In an e-mail Ms. Stillinger said she was notified that Lynn Rearden was chosen Liz Claiborne’s Most Admired Woman and both women will be awarded a $1,500 gift certificate to shop Liz Claiborne and Ms. Rearden will appear on the company’s web site and in promotions throughout the year.

Due to the late hour of receiving the information neither of the women were able to be contacted for comment. Ms. Stillinger did say in her e-mail she wanted to thank everyone who took the time to vote online.

EdgefieldDaily.com would like to congratulate Lynn Rearden for her national recognition and Connie Stillinger for her nomination.
