Edgefield Police Arrest Two in Recent Burglary

web posted November 28, 2012

EDGEFIELD – Two men have been arrested in connection to a Rosa Street burglary last week. Delonte Lamarus Harris, 19 (Left), and Devonte Jacquez Hall, 20, both of Edgefield, have been charged in the November 19 burglary of a Rosa Hill Street home. Edgefield Police were able to obtain fingerprints and other evidence that led them to the two suspects.

As Edgefield Daily reported, the owner of the home returned and had a funny feeling that someone had been in his home. When he entered the bedroom he noticed a window pried open and over $1,000 in cash and property gone and called police.

Both Harris and Hall have been charged with burglary in the second degree in the case. Harris was arrested on Sunday and Hall was taken into custody on Tuesday.

Harris remains behind bars at the Edgefield County Detention Center on a $10,000 surety bond. Hall, who has at least one other burglary charge hanging over his head, was released Tuesday afternoon on a $10,000 Personal Recognizance (PR) bond, which requires no cash bond.

Evidence recovered in the investigation may lead to solving at least one other burglary.
