EDGEFIELD – Edgefield Mayor Ken Durham, Chamber of Commerce Director Donna Livingston, and Dina Reynolds, Community Relations Director for Hospice Care of South Carolina were among many present for the ribbon cutting ceremony of the new Hospice Care office in Edgefield on Tuesday. Mayor Durham presented Ms. Reynolds with a Proclamation naming November as National Hospice Month at the ceremony as well.

Hospice Care of South Carolina provides services and support to terminally ill patients and their families. Hospice Care serves over 400,000 patients and their families with 2,300 hospice programs across the United States.

Ms. Reynolds said Hospice Care has been servicing Edgefield County patients from their Saluda Office but as the needs continue to grow they were opening the office in Edgefield, located at the entrance of the County Hospital.

Mayor Durham was given the honor of cutting the ribbon to open the office.
