NWTF Communications Department Earns Multiple Awards

web posted December 1, 2008
EDGEFIELD – The National Wild Turkey Federation’s Communications Department continued its award-winning ways in the South Carolina Outdoor Press Association’s Excellence in Craft Competition, held during its 2008 Fall Conference in Camden, S.C.

NWTF staff members P.J. Perea of Aiken, Paul Rackley of Edgefield and Perrin Anderson of Greenwood submitted articles, photos and video productions for consideration against nationally recognized media members and were rewarded with nine certificates.

“Our communications department produces five magazines, two television shows, a Web site and an e-zine to inform our members and spread our message of conservation and hunting to the American public,” said Brent Lawrence, NWTF public relations director. “These awards just help to prove that we have a great communications team that cares about the future of wild turkeys and the NWTF.”
