Ten Governors Café reopens with larger restaurant

web posted December 7, 2007
EDGEFIELD – After closing to relocate last week, the Ten Governor’s Café has reopened for business on Thursday at 303 Main Street in Edgefield, just around the corner from their previous location on the Town Square. The new larger restaurant doubled the available seating to nearly one hundred, added a modern buffet line, and continues their tradition of great food and friendly service.

Boasting an “A” rating for food quality and cleanliness, Owner Wayne Luquire will again be offering the daily specials ranging from his famous fried chicken, fried catfish, among others. The buffet also features a wide assortment of fresh vegetables, salad, and tasty deserts.

The Ten Governor’s Café was established in 1999 and is open from Monday through Friday from 7 am until 10 am for a breakfast buffet of bacon, eggs, sausage, pancakes, homemade biscuits and gravy, grits, and more, and all for only $4.95, not including beverage. Though other restaurants in the Edgefield area sell breakfast, Mr. Luquire said they are the only one offering a hot breakfast buffet where diners can eat as much or as little as they desire.

The lunch buffet is open from 11 am until 2 pm Sunday through Friday. Take out is available for both breakfast and lunch. Short order menus are also available (except Sundays). Phone in orders are also accepted by calling 803-637-9050.

Drop off your entry in the EdgefieldDaily.com Christmas Give-Away while visiting the new location. No purchase is necessary to enter. See details here.
