Duncan: A clear choice for Congress
web
posted June 4, 2010
EDITORIAL – With just four days until the
Republican Primary, the choice for the US Congressional seat for
District 3 seems clear. South Carolina House of Representative Jeff
Duncan stands above other candidates as a firm oak in a field of
pliable saplings.
Rep. Duncan never wavered nor deviated from his core principles once
elected to the South Carolina House and he will no doubt continue to
keep his roots firmly planted in the basic conservative philosophy that
got him elected in 2002 and saw him re-elected for three additional
terms.
He has proven that he can withstand the storms and forces that drive
too many legislators in Columbia to bend from their principles and we
believe he will stand just as firm in Washington.
Rep. Duncan has proven he is a man of his word. He says what he means
and he means what he says, a rare and admirable characteristic for a
potential member of Congress.
We encourage voters to consider Rep. Duncan as they head to the voting
booth this coming Tuesday. He is a true reform candidate that will take
the voice of the people of the South Carolina 3rd Congressional
District to Washington, not one that will bring the voice of Washington
back to the people in sound bites to sell the politics as usual that
are so prevalent in our political culture.
Edgefield Daily is proud to join the collective voices of South
Carolina State Sen. Shane Massey (R-Edgefield), former Republican
Presidential candidate Fred Thompson, the Club for Growth,
Conservatives for America, and others in endorsing Jeff Duncan for
Congress.
