Editorial Imagine going back to the late 1800’s and listening to the “experts” who said flight was never functional and would never be used if perfected and then seeing where air travel is today. It is the basis of factual and historical documentation placed in our current context that makes the so-called experts of days gone by seem irrational in their claims. A short history lesson: "The main plank in the National Socialist program is to abolish the liberalistic concept of the individual and the Marxist concept of humanity and to substitute for them the folk community (ethnic groups), rooted in the soil and bound together by the bond of its common blood." “It is thus necessary that the individual should come to realize that his own ego is of no importance in comparison with the existence of his nation; that the position of the individual ego is conditioned solely by the interests of the nation as a whole ... that above all the unity of a nation's spirit and will are worth far more than the freedom of the spirit and will of an individual. This state of mind, which subordinates the interests of the ego to the conservation of the community, is really the first premise for every truly human culture. We understand only the individual's capacity to make sacrifices for the community, for his fellow man.” Adolph Hitler, 1933 “There is the great, silent, continuous struggle: the struggle between the State and the Individual; between the State which demands and the individual who attempts to evade such demands.” Benito Mussolini “Fascist ethics begin ... with the acknowledgment that it is not the individual who confers a meaning upon society, but it is, instead, the existence of a human society which determines the human character of the individual. According to Fascism, a true, a great spiritual life cannot take place unless the State has risen to a position of pre-eminence in the world of man. The curtailment of liberty thus becomes justified at once, and this need of rising the State to its rightful position.” "The Philosophy of Fascism" 1936 "Comrades! We must abolish the cult of the individual decisively, once and for all." Nikita Khrushchev , February 25, 1956 20th Congress of the Communist Party How horrible those thought processes were and the human casualties that those who believed in such ignorance caused are in the hundreds of millions. Gas chambers, starvation, mass murder, dictatorships, and countless other tragic events followed those lying dictators as they stole freedom, liberty, and the rights of the individual from everyone under their control. Everyone knows the saying, “those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it,” yet the media and the majority of Americans educated in government run schools seem unable to understand that the very same thing is being done today. H.L. Mencken once said, “The urge to save humanity is almost always only a false-face for the urge to rule it.” Today we see environmentalists wanting to stop the cutting of trees under the guise of “saving the planet.” We did not know the planted needed saving by man when man cannot create, alter, or change the planet by any stretch of the imagination. Mount St. Helens put more pollution in the air in a single day than all of humanity has since it has been on earth. Voltaire correctly stated that, “In general the art of government consists in taking as much money as possible from one class of citizens to give to the other”. Today we see focus group terms like “tax breaks for the rich” and “working poor” tossed around as if either were a benefit to the individual. But those using the terms are counting on you not knowing what Mencken or Voltaire knew. “Lest we forget,” is used to make sure such brutal dictators never gain control of our nation and that such events like those directed by Hitler, Mussolini, and Khrushchev never take place in America. How loathed a person would be to say such ignorant things like, "All our lives we fought against exalting the individual, against the elevation of the single person, and long ago we were over and done with the business of a hero, and here it comes up again: the glorification of one personality. This is not good at all,” as was said by Vladimir Lenin. Could you imagine a politician stating to the American people such inane ranting as, “We must stop thinking of the individual and start thinking about what is best for society." Or maybe "We can't be so fixated on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary (citizens)." America would tar and feather anyone so foolish as to stand and say, “We are at war against the individual.” Sadly, no. In fact the last paragraph contains quotes from Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, and Ted Kennedy respectably. All three are fawned over by the major media as “intellectuals”. They are the leaders of the National Democratic Party and stand outs as the “leaders” who claim they should obtain their “rightful place” as being in control over your lives. Those who do not know history have no idea where they are today. Return to
