A good day fishing

Edgefielddaily.com
web posted May 14, 2005

Daniel Peace had a great day fishing a week ago and sent Edgefield Daily.com these photos.

In addition to the long and weighty string of largemouth bass he shows off here, below he shows off some near record bream.

Weighing in right around 2 lbs each, the below pictured bream fought as hard as the bass Peace landed he said.

The bream are starting to bed, most who fish Steven's Creek and ponds say, and the prime time to fish will be the upcoming full moon. "They should be ready to wear it out come full moon," said Ashley Morgan who lives and fishes on Steven's Creek.

Get your rods ready, bait up, and get ready for a lot of good fun.

Do not forget, today is the Lick Fork Lake Fishing Rodeo where the kids fish free from 9 am till 1 pm.

Daniel Peace did not offer to tell everyone where he found this catch. Not that we will not keep trying to get an invitation to "photograph" his fishing abilitites. Of course, we may have to take a rod to confirm there are actually fish in the area.

This bream tipped the scales at 1lb 10 onces

A close up.
