Weekly gas survey; Gas continues to climb, now at $2.37 for average price in county

COUNTY – Area gas prices continued to rise this week as the average price of gas jumped to $2.37 from an average of $2.31 last week for a total increase of twenty-four cents in the past two weeks. Prices varied tweleve cents between retailers. Smith's Soc Station in Johnston took the award for the lowest reported price this week at $2.29. Four Seasons and Shell QP Express in Johnston reported the highest price at $2.41 a gallon. Below is the report of all 17 reporting stations.
