Bi-weekly gas survey Edgefielddaily.com web posted September 23, 2005 COUNTY – Area gas prices have begun to rise over the last few days and the average price of gas rose from an average of $2.55 a gallon to $2.72 across the county. The S&S Truck Stop in Merriwether took the award for the lowest reported price at $2.55 and once again Billy’s Superstore in Trenton topped the list at $2.99. Several stations reported prices in the $2.69 to $2.75 range. Prices are expected to go up an additional thirty cents over the weekend. Some retailers spoke of prices as high as $4.00 in the making. Below is the report of all reporting stations.
