 Weekly gas survey; Gas prices continue to drop below $2.00 a gallon Edgefielddaily.com web posted October 5, 2006 COUNTY – Area gas prices continued to drop across the county this week as prices fell below $2.00 a gallon with the lowest reported price at $1.97. Prices varied tweleve cents among retailers. Greg's Gas plus and Sportsman's Corner in Merriwether had the lowest reported price this week at $1.97 a gallon. Prices are expected to continue to fall over the next two months. One location reported the highest prices at $2.09.
