Bi-weekly gas survey Edgefielddaily.com web posted November 1, 2005 COUNTY – Area gas prices continue to fall over the last few days as the average price of gas dropped another seven cents from an average of $2.31 a gallon last report to $2.24 across the county. A total drop of seventy-seven cents this month from a high average of $3.01 and eighty-five cents from the individual high of $3.09. Prices varied as much as thirthy-one cents between retailers. Prices are said to be going to continue dropping over the next few weeks as supply continues to far exceed demand and oil prices continue to drop. The new Greg's Gas Plus on Highway 25 in Merriwether took the award for the lowest reported prices yet again at $2.08 and Edgefield's Northside BP topped the price list at $2.39.
