Here’s Your Card Seño; No habla “Dead End”?
web
posted January 21, 2008
MERRIWETHER – Three Hispanic males, all
providing the same Charlotte, N.C. address, were spotted loading sand
onto a trailer in the Whispering Woods subdivision last week by the
owner of the property. When the owner approached the three men and
asked whom they worked for they just got into their truck and drove
away with the sand.
The owner notified the Sheriff’s Office and followed the men to the
next subdivision, Currytown Station, just off Currytown Road.
When the first deputy arrived the three men had driven down a dead end
road and stopped in the cul-de-sac on Phoenix Court. Renato Valencia
Torres, 26; Carlos Valencia Torres, 20; and Renato Gayegos, 50; were
all arrested for larceny and transported to the Edgefield County
Detention Center.
Perhaps if the three men could read English they would have known the
road they were taking was marked with a sign stating “Dead End” during
their escape. The three are now officially contenders for the Here's
Your Card Award.
