line" on issues Government Gossip Edgefielddaily.com These are not reports, just rumors web posted September 15, 2005 The INsider The political graveyard accepts all visitors Planning Commission member Jim Oliver (District 5 Merriwether) needs to step down. His habitual shirking of his duties is the worst of any commissioner that has ever served in the history of Edgefield County that was not removed or "suggested to" resign. But there he stays. Why? "teacher's pet". He is the puppet by which Administrator Wayne Adams inserts his hand up the, well, you get the idea, to do his dirty work. That is common knowledge to those inside but why does Councilman Joel Hudson allow it to happen when Oliver is his appointee? Those who visit the local "political graveyard" say Hudson may be becoming a bit too cozy with those he went to challenge. Let's hope that isn't true. Those inside the local "political graveyard" say three graves have been dug. Let's hope Hudson isn't having his headstone in the graveyard hewn and that one of the graves in the political graveyard belongs to another. Return to
