Woman
reports burglary Monday afternoon
web posted January 18, 2006 JOHNSTON – A Johnston woman called police to report a burglary at her home Monday afternoon. Edgefield County Deputy Trek Bryant responded to the call at the Long Cain Road residence and found the side door had been pried open. The woman stated she left the home about three hours before returning before the call. Deputy Bryant searched the home and did not find anyone inside. The woman looked around the home and did not report seeing anything missing at the time. Many times homeowners will find items missing at a later date and amended reports are then added. Police could not identify a suspect in the case. The case has been turned over to investigators for follow-up. For
