Electronics Targeted in Johnston Burglary

web posted January 19, 2013

JOHNSTON – A Slide Hill Road woman called the Sheriff's Office after returning to her home on Thursday and finding $2,200 worth of electronics stolen. The actual theft is believed to have taken place on Monday, January 14.

When deputies arrived the woman stated a neighbor called to inform her the front door to her apartment was open. The woman returned and found the door unlocked, locked the door without entering, and left and did not return until Thursday.

Once inside she noticed a black Sony Playstation 3, two game controllers - one white and one clear - and approximately 30 various games missing from the home. The games alone, valued at $60 a piece, totaled $1,800.

All information on the case has been turned over to the Sheriff's Criminal Investigative Division  for further investigation. The woman was unable to provide any possible suspects in the case.
