Police seize car, cash, and drugs in drug bust web posted January 25, 2007 The bust took place on Railroad Avenue in Johnston after a possible drug deal around 1:30pm. Once Johnston Police, the South Carolina Highway Patrol, and an Edgefield County Sheriff’s Narcotic’s Officer made the stop they found a baggie containing “uncut” cocaine, powder cocaine, and marijuana inside the car. A butcher knife was found located next to the driver at the time of the arrest. Also found was over $800 in cash believed to have been a part of the proceeds of drug activity. The Ford Taurus the three were in was found to have a suspended tag for failure to pay insurance and was also seized in the arrest since it is suspected to have been used in a previous drug deal. Two of the three were identified as Latonia Patrick and Robert Lee Dobbs according to jail records. The third individual has not been identified at press time. They are being held at the Detention Center awaiting service of pending warrants. Johnston Police Chief Chris Aston said the arrests stem from a series of drug raids that have been taking place in Johnston since last Thursday. “They (drug dealers) need to be put on notice,” Chief Aston said, “if they deal drugs in Johnston we’re going to get them.” Chief Aston said his department is expecting more arrests over the next few days. Chief Aston commended the work of the Sheriff's Office and the Narcotics Investigator's that assisted in the recent arrests. For
