  Peach Exchange Mural Committee Seeks Nominee web posted February 8, 2013 JOHNSTON – The Johnston Town Council recently appointed a committee of local citizens with a goal of selecting the next person to be honored with their likeness placed on the downtown landmark mural. No one has been selected for this honor since 2001. The committee is currently accepting nominations from the public. Qualified nominees must meet these criteria: Deceased A resident of the Johnston area for ten years or more; and/or a Johnston business owner for 20 years or more, living in Edgefield County with service to the Johnston community. Please send nominees to: Mural Nominee, c/o Johnston Town Hall, 500 Mims Avenue, Johnston, SC 29832.
