 Johnston teen arrested on criminal sexual conduct charge web posted February 19, 2008 JOHNSTON – A Johnston teen is behind bars after an investigation that launched late last week resulted in a criminal sexual assault charge for a 15-year old male. According to police reports, the alleged victim is a 12-year-old male and has been abused by the older teen since at least last April when he was 11. The arrested teen’s name is not being released due to his age. Information made available Monday showed the older teen allegedly threatened the younger boy in order to abuse him. The 15-year old is currently being held at the Department of Juvenile Justice in Columbia awaiting a formal hearing later this week or as late as next week, Johnston Police Chief Chris Aston said. The case is still under investigation. It is unknown if any additional charges could be filed in the case. ©
