JOHNSTON – The Johnston Jaycees Peach Blossom Festival Beauty Pageant brought a large crowd to the Johnston Elementary School Gym Saturday with seventy beauty contestants competing in eight divisions. The pageant, sponsored by the Little Stevens Creek Baptist Church’s Youth on Mission, was a fundraiser for the youth World Changers mission trip to North Carolina this summer. After a tie brought one division back out for a second look, the judges were ready with their decisions.

By the end of the rainy afternoon, and a parade of the area’s beauties, Autumn Winn, a sophomore at Saluda High School, was crowned Miss Peach Blossom in the 16 to 20 age division. Autumn is the daughter of Russell and Terry Winn of Saluda. First runner-up was Meagan Morris with Nicole Allen and Kasie Hipps taking second and third runner-up respectively. Nicole Allen was also chosen as the Most Photogenic.
