Miss Peach Blossom
Beauty Pageant was held Saturday with almost 120 local beauties vying
for several different crowns. By the end of the day Gabrielle Riedel,
of North Augusta walked away with the crown of Miss Peach Blossom. Miss
Riedel, a senior at North Augusta High School, is the daughter of
Steven and Gail Riedel. The pageant, sponsored by the Little Stevens Creek Baptist Church of Edgefield, is used as a fundraiser for Youth Missions of the Church and also provides funding for the Autumn Winn Scholarship fund at Saluda High School. Miss Winn was the 2006 Miss Peach Blossom Queen who was tragically killed in a crash near her home. Her crown was placed on display in memoriam to her at this year’s pageant. The winners of the pageant will also ride in the parade at this year’s Peach Blossom Festival in April. The list of beauty queens crowned at Saturday’s event is as follows: (P) designates Most Photogenic and (S) denotes the winner of the Sportswear competition.  Miss Peach Blossom
