JOHNSTON – The Miss Peach Blossom Beauty Pageant was held on Saturday with over 80 contestants competing in ten divisions. When the scoring was over the title of Miss Peach Blossom 2007 went to Lauren Rickabaugh. Teen Miss was awarded to Ainsley Ellis and Kristin Stone took Miss Pre-teen. Texanna Miller won Jr. Miss and Taylor Murrell was chosen Young Miss.

Earlier in the day the younger contestants were on the stage with Breylie Hodson winning Baby Miss, Kydal Swearinger named Tiny Miss, Reagan Gillispe taking Toddler Miss, Laynah Anderson tapped as Wee Miss, and Patricia Myers capturing the Little Miss title.

A full listing of all the winners, runner-ups, and additional photographs will be published on Tuesday.

Miss Peach Blossom Lauren Rickabaugh was crowned, along with the other beauty queens, by Terry Winn of Saluda, last year’s winner Autumn Winn’s mother. Miss Winn died in a crash this past November.

In remembrance of Autumn Winn was a photo display in front of the stage. On the stage was a large photograph of Miss Winn along with her pageant dress, sash, crown, and other related memorabilia. Mrs. Winn addressed those in attendance prior to the crowning with a tearful tribute to her daughter. “She’s in heaven now,” Mrs. Winn said, “and I know we will see her again because I know I am going to heaven.”

The pageant is hosted by the Little Stevens Creek Baptist Church’s Youth Missions. All proceeds go towards Youth Missions including World Changers.
