Police seek stolen car, information on burglary web posted March 21, 2007 JOHNSTON – A burglary of the Executive Car Care Center on Lee Street in Johnston resulted in $3,000 worth of related damages to the business and merchandise stolen in addition to the theft of a customer’s car. The owner of the business arrived just before 8 am to discover the theft. A customer’s blue 1989 Pontiac Bonneville that was parked at the business was also missing. Johnston Police Officers arrived and began collecting evidence in the burglary; thought the nature of the evidence was not disclosed. The stolen car is described as a 1989 blue Pontiac Bonneville with damage to the front right headlight. It bares the SC license plate number 662 UUT. If you see the car you are asked to call 637-5337 and provide dispatchers with the information. This is the second reported burglary at the business recently. The car has been placed on the NCIC (National Crime Information Center) which alerts all agencies of the missing vehicle. Another attempted car theft on Calhoun Street during the same time period is also being investigated and it is unknown if the two cases are connected Johnston Police Chief Chris Aston said. In the second case the theft was not successful and the car was found with the steering column damaged. For
