Tractor stolen from Water Works Road web posted March 25, 2006 JOHNSTON – A report of a stolen tractor from property on Water Works Road came in to the Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office. A Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the call and met with the man overseeing the property for the owner who lives out of town. Reports from workers and the overseer were the last time anyone saw the tractor was three or four weeks ago. The key had been left in the 1960’s model 820 John Deere tractor; however, there was no battery in the tractor. The John Deere tractor is the standard green and yellow painting and has rust spots on it. Now tire or shoe prints were observed in the area and the case has been passed on to investigators for follow-up. The value of the tractor was estimated to be around $1,500. For
