Among the photo dedications were nine of the pioneers in the area; Lewis Davis “LD” Holmes Sr., Rembert W. Dubose, Horace T. Holmes, Joseph Wilber Yonce Jr., Lawrence William Vann, Lewis F. Holmes Jr., Julius Marshall Vann, and Fred Morris Holmes. Mr. Marshall Vann attended the viewing. Below: Invitees enjoy refreshments inside the museum Below: Trenton Mayor Helen Summers speaks with Johnston Mayor Capmbell The museum is presently located in the Edgefield Chamber of Commerce Building at 416 Calhoun Street, Johnston, SC. Regular hours are 8:30 until 12:30 weekdays, or by appointment. You may call the Chamber at 803-275-0010. EdgefieldDaily.com enjoyed the museum and the history behind peaches in our area. Learn how long a peach tree lives and produces fruit, in addition to how much fruit is produced by each tree. Find out that peaches are not native to North America and learn where they came from in the 1600’s. EdgefieldDaily.com would recommend visiting the museum; it is educational and informative for both young and old. For
