$6,000 in goods taken from car

JOHNSTON – A Greenwood man called Police to report that someone had broken into his car and stolen over $6,000 worth of goods. When Officers arrived at the location on the 2000 block of Lakeview Drive in Johnston the man stated he arrived at the home and walked inside for just a few minutes.

When he walked back out he noticed a cream-colored Crown Victoria backing out of the driveway. The man said when he looked inside of his car he noticed his Pioneer CD player was gone along with over 300 CD’s. The man said he did not know who would have done this since he was from Greenwood.

The case has been handed over to investigators for follow-up. The total value of the items stolen was estimated to be $6,300. No serial numbers were available for the CD player.
