23rd Annual Peach Blossom Festival begins Friday night

JOHNSTON – It is time again for Johnston to shine. The 23rd Annual Peach Blossom Festival begins Friday night with a street dance at 8:00 pm with DJ Marion Turner providing the music. Saturday starts with arts and crafts, rides, games, food vendors, and live entertainment. The parade will commence at 11:00 am.

The festivities will conclude with a dance at the A. T. Johnson Municipal Complex, featuring the Catalinas. Tickets are available at the Edgefield County Chamber of Commerce, Maxwell & Halford Drugs, Oldies KSX, and DJ’s Corner Cuts, along with the information table during the festival and at the door. Cost is $15.00 single, and $25.00 couple.

The event is sponsored by the Johnston Jaycees. Please come out and support the Town of Johnston and the Jaycees, and have a wonderful time in the “Peach Capital of the World”.

The Shepeard Community Bloodmobile will also be in town for a blood drive during the day, Sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. Please help by giving the gift of life. Blood supply is always at a critical stage. Help by donating a pint of blood at the Peach Blossom Festival.
