Ellis crowned Miss Peach Blossom Saturday web posted March 30, 2009  JOHNSTON – Though
the scenery outside was
dreary all day Saturday, the scenery inside the Johnston Elementary Gym
was sunshine and smiles where some of the areas most beautiful young
ladies competed for individual titles in the 2009 Miss Peach Blossom
Beauty Pageant. Seventy-nine contestants competed in three divisions
with Edgefield’s Ainsley Ellis being crowned Miss Peach Blossom with
Simbia Thomas, 1st runner-up, and Mary Margaret Davis, 2nd runner-up
rounding out her court.Pictured below are the queens from the afternoon division of ladies between 11 – 20 years of age. Left to right: Arrington Taylor, Pre-Teen Miss; Lauren McDonald, Mid-Teen Miss; Jamie Hair, Young Teen Miss; Ainsley Ellis, Miss Peach Blossom; Madison Boatwright, Teen Miss; Jessica Randall, Junior Miss; and Brittany Hurt, Young Miss.  The pageant is sponsored by the Little Stevens Creek Baptist Church in Edgefield with proceeds benefiting the youth missions at the church. Janice Cleveland along with Gina Logue and a host of other volunteers produced the pageant. Below are the full results of the pageant.
